We’re looking for an enthusiastic Obstetrician-Gynecologist to provide locum coverage for a full OBGYN practice beginning January 2027.
Located in Winkler, just 75 minutes south of Winnipeg, C.W. Wiebe Medical Centre offers an outstanding clinic-based practice environment with a dedicated OBGYN nurse, extensive administrative support, an on-site laboratory, a minor procedure room, a personal office, billing services, and access to a variety of allied health professionals.
What truly sets us apart is our people. You’ll be joining a stellar team of three OBGYNs and three family physicians with enhanced obstetrical skills who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care. Clinic-based responsibilities include outpatient consultations, ongoing gynecological care, prenatal and postpartum visits, and minor procedures. Hospital-based responsibilities are provided through Boundary Trails Health Centre and include labour and delivery, inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care, emergency consultations, and surgical services. The team shares a competitive call rotation through the community hospital. Locum coverage includes guaranteed operating room time, typically 1 – 3 days per 28-day period. Remuneration is fee-for-service.

Clinical Excellence and Teaching
Boundary Trails Health Centre, conveniently located between Winkler and Morden, supports approximately 1,000 deliveries annually for pregnancies at 36 weeks and beyond, consistent with a Level I obstetrical service.
Our practice features a strong, evidence-based MoreOB program and opportunities to teach first-year family medicine residents during core obstetrics rotations, as well as senior OBGYN residents completing community rotations through their Winnipeg-based training program.
