The new Urban Locum Pilot Program, a collective initiative between Shared Health, Manitoba Locum Tenens Program and Doctors Manitoba will give urban physicians in Brandon and Winnipeg the opportunity to find coverage for their practice, while they take much needed and deserved time away. New-to-practice physicians, those wanting to work fewer hours nearing the end of their career and physicians looking for more hours can apply to be a Locum Physician in the new urban pilot or the existing rural and northern program.

The Manitoba Locum Tenens Program provides an opportunity for rural Physicians in Manitoba to find coverage for time away from practice. Physicians looking for more hours, such as those new-to-practice or those nearing retirement, are given an opportunity to broaden their experience by working in rural Manitoba.
