Sports Medicine Physician Opportunity
Chosen Care Clinic | Winnipeg, Manitoba
Chosen Care Clinic is a growing, physician-owned and physician-operated Physical Medicine & Sports Medicine clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are looking to recruit a Sports Medicine Physician interested in joining our team on a part-time basis, ideally one to two clinic days per week, with flexibility based on physician availability and desired caseload.
Focused Sports Medicine Practice
The position is designed around general appendicular musculoskeletal consultations, including conditions involving the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot.
Our Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physicians primarily manage axial musculoskeletal presentations, including neck and low-back conditions. This allows the Sports Medicine practice to remain predominantly focused on non-axial, appendicular MSK medicine, creating a streamlined consultation model well aligned with a traditional Sports Medicine practice.
Established Referral Stream
There is no expectation for the incoming physician to advertise or independently develop a referral base.
Chosen Care Clinic has an established referral network and can provide a consistent volume of musculoskeletal consultations. Clinic volume can be tailored to the physician’s preferred schedule and desired caseload.
Physician-Owned & Operated
Chosen Care Clinic is owned and operated by physicians. Our clinic model has been developed with an understanding of the practical needs of physicians, including efficient patient flow, administrative support, appropriate clinical infrastructure, and flexibility in practice design.
We Offer
- 20% overhead
- First three months FREE of overhead as a signing incentive and trial period
- Flexible part-time scheduling, approximately 1 – 2 days per week
- Established referral stream
- No advertising requirement
- Point-of-care ultrasound available for physicians performing ultrasound-guided procedures, typically through a high-quality handheld ultrasound system
- Integrated Medical & Rehabilitation Environment
- Chosen Care Clinic includes in-house physiotherapy and athletic therapy, allowing physicians to communicate directly with allied healthcare professionals and easily coordinate rehabilitation when appropriate.
- The clinic also includes an approximately 3,000-square-foot commercially equipped rehabilitation and exercise facility, with treadmills, StairMasters, squat racks, strength-training equipment, sled push/pull equipment, and other rehabilitation and conditioning equipment.
- Physicians are welcome to use the exercise facility during their clinic days.
Convenient Medical Centre Location
Chosen Care Clinic is located within Munroe Medical Centre and provides convenient access to complementary healthcare services within the same building, including:

- Family medicine through Munroe Medical Clinic
- Quick-care services through Kalo Medical Clinic
- This provides convenient access to imaging, pharmacy services, primary care, and allied rehabilitation within one medical centre.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a physician who practices evidence-based musculoskeletal medicine, values collaboration with other physicians and rehabilitation professionals, and would like to develop a focused Sports Medicine practice without the administrative burden of independently building a referral network.
The opportunity may be particularly well suited to a physician looking for one or two dedicated MSK clinic days per week within an established multidisciplinary environment.
