Prasana Medical Center is a new, calm and clean clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Privately owned and operated, we are committed to providing comprehensive primary care from a collaborative team-based approach. Our North clinic includes 3 clinical rooms and 2 procedure rooms for the physicians, as well as on-site specialists — Pedorthist, Kinesiologist and Medical Estheticians. Our South clinic includes 2 clinical rooms for the physicians, and is in a busy area of the city. We offer a modern, supportive environment and the use of our experienced Primary Care Assistants and medical billers. For EMR, we use ACCURO and Ocean MD.
Position Summary
Prasana Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated Family Physician to join our vibrant team at our new location in Winnipeg South. The successful candidate will be responsible providing high-quality, continuous primary care to a diverse panel of patients — both long-term and walk-in. Duties associated with a family practice include diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. This includes — but is not limited to — prenatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric care. Grow your practice with a passionate team in a beautiful, new private clinic!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patient panel, providing primary care, chronic disease management and urgent care.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging and diagnostic procedures.
- Provide counselling on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including other Physicians, Clinical Assistants, Specialists and Primary Care Assistants.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records using EMR.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an approved medical school program, with a Family Medicine Residency Completion (CCFP).
- Licensure: Eligible for registration with or registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM).
- Experience: Previous experience in primary care and walk-in settings is an asset.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, episodic and chronic patient care.
