Description
Beautiful Plains Community Medical Clinic is seeking a comprehensive Rural Family Physician to join our team of experienced family physicians. This opportunity offers the chance to work both in a supportive clinic and hospital setting, while serving a vibrant rural community.
In this Fee-for-Service practice, you will collaborate with experienced rural physicians and share responsibilities in providing ER, acute care, and long-term care services. Neepawa Health Centre is a 38-bed acute care facility equipped with:
- Emergency Services
- Diagnostic Services, such as ultrasound
- Maternity program
- Surgical Services, including laparoscopic procedures
- Public Health, Mental Health, and Home Care Services
Physicians also have the flexibility to pursue their areas of interest, including:
- Procedures
- Anesthesia
- Obstetrical care
- Care-of-the-elderly
- Neepawa’s Long Term Care facility, Country Meadows Care Home, offers comprehensive nursing care with 100 beds, a respite program, community bath program, and adult day program.
Exciting Developments:
A new hospital is currently under construction in Neepawa, scheduled to open in early 2027. This state-of-the-art facility will feature:
- 60 in-patient beds, nearly doubling the current capacity
- An expanded Emergency Room and Chemotherapy Unit
- New ambulatory care and dialysis departments
- Expanded infrastructure to better serve the growing needs of the community
Qualifications:
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- Membership in good standing with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- CCFP certification preferred
- ACLS and PALS certification required
