Take Part in Discovery Days in Health Sciences

Discovery Days in Health Sciences is an outreach program to inspire high school students to pursue a career in health care. Participants hear a dynamic keynote lecture, take part in two interactive workshops and join in discussion with a panel of experts.

OF NOTE: Discovery Days in Health Sciences ONLINE now brings a similar experience via virtual programming to those for whom travel to a host site is not possible.

WHO AND WHEN: Taking a regional approach to delivery, high school students and young adult learners in rural, remote and Indigenous communities across Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nunavut are being invited to join in Central Canada on Wednesday, May 28.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Holly Graham, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine and Indigenous Research Chair in Nursing, College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan.

THE ASK: Healthcare professionals/academics from across these regions are sought to host a small group of students in an interactive workshop or by taking part in our panel discussion.

LEARN MORE: Those interested will find more information, including the event agenda, sample catalogue, tips sheet and submission form, on the presenters’ pages of our website here.
