As school ends and as summer plans take shape, now is a great time to evaluate your insurance coverage and make adjustments as necessary. We are with you every step of the way. From the application process, to ordering biometrics and submitting claims, we are here to help.

Remember, Doctors Manitoba offers free insurance advice, along with insurance products custom designed by physicians offered on a not-for-profit basis.

Here are some things to think about:

Are you a resident about to transition to practice, continue your training or move away?

Summer is a time of transition when Manitoba’s residents transition to practice and out of-province residents begin training. Residents from Manitoba who transition to practice lose health and dental coverage through their employer, Shared Health.

Doctors Manitoba provides health and dental coverage to fill in those gaps. Similarly, new medical residents are eligible for Doctors Manitoba’s benefits as you begin your residency here. Contact Doctors Manitoba to learn about health and dental and learn ways to improve your Disability and Life insurance, to meet your income needs, and to increase insurance protection for your family.

Accidents Happen! As you spend more time outside this summer, are you prepared?

There are plenty of opportunities in Manitoba for outdoor recreation, from canoeing and biking to walking your favourite hiking trails — and of course, boating at the lake! You may also spend more time traveling or moving into a new home.

This means there are also plenty of opportunities for accidents. Accident Insurance is an important consideration and is offered for members and their families on a non-medical and guaranteed basis with no underwriting. This means you are automatically covered at very reasonable rates.

We invite you to connect with our team at any time.
