Doctors Manitoba joined the University of Manitoba’s Family Medicine Residents Retreat in Brandon this past weekend, offering two presentations. While one focused on the business side of medicine, including billing and early practice advice, a second by Dr. Alexis Botkin, Doctors Manitoba Medical Consultant for Physician and Medical Learner Health and Wellness, zeroed in on physician well-being.

Rural Medicine: Endless Horizons

The event, themed Rural Medicine: Endless Horizons,” hosted by Prairie Mountain Health, provided education, networking opportunities, and a chance to learn about employment opportunities across the province to the 128 family medicine residents.

PMH CEO Treena Slate said the theme reflected both the professional and personal possibilities that come with living and working in rural communities. We have great facilities, excellent communities and rural beauty,” she said.

In the News
