eConsult can be very helpful, but with two separate platforms, it can sometimes take extra time to navigate. That’s about to change. 

What’s changing? Shared Health advises Manitoba is moving to a single platform called eConsultCX, replacing the current Store & Forward and BASE eConsult platforms. The transition is underway, with a planned launch date of October 22, 2026.

📅 Important dates: There are a few key steps to complete before the current platforms are taken offline. 

• October 5: Store and Forward and BASE eConsult will stop accepting new eConsult submissions. 
• October 13: Specialists must submit responses to all outstanding eConsults. 
• October 18: Have any eConsult summaries or records you want to keep downloaded. Access will be removed after this date. 
• October 19: Store and Forward and BASE eConsult will be taken offline. 
• October 22: eConsultCX is launched. 

⚠️ Prepare for a service disruption: There will be a short service interruption after the current platforms shut down on October 19. eConsult services will be temporarily unavailable while final migration and deployment activities are completed. 

What’s next: eConsultCX is expected to go live October 22.

• Account access: Details will be shared closer to implementation. 
• Training: Materials and support resources will be provided before launch. 
• Review sessions: Additional sessions will give physicians and other users an opportunity to see how feedback has shaped the platform and become familiar with finalized workflows. 
• After launch: Physician feedback will continue to inform ongoing improvements. 

Bottom line: We recognize these changes from Shared Health may be challenging to adjust to in your practice. Please plan around the key dates, download any records you need to retain, and watch for additional updates from Shared Health.
