We’re planning a public awareness campaign this spring, with the ability to bring prevention messages to specific groups of Manitobans. And we’re looking for your help!

THE BIG PICTURE: The Getting Healthy campaign will continue to build on the work we’ve done to date to bring advice from trusted physicians that helps Manitobans prevent disease and live a longer and healthier life.

Getting Healthy helps reinforce the message that Manitoba’s physicians care deeply about the health and well-being of Manitobans, while emphasizing that doctors are the experts when it comes to health and medicine. It also helps to combat rampant misinformation.

WHAT’S NEXT: This newest campaign provides the ability to target messages to people based on their age and gender. As one example, we would be able to target women aged 21 – 69 with a message encouraging cervical cancer screening from Manitoba’s expert doctors.

The campaign could include up to six selected audiences to target with specific messaging.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: We need your help to help us narrow down the segments. What do you think? What patterns are you seeing in your practice? Your advice will help guide us to the audiences that would benefit most from a targeted reminder.

The advice should be evidence-based and focused on prevention or early detection. You can see some of the topics already included in our Getting Healthy Guide by typing in different age and gender combinations.
