We have shared concerns from physicians with Shared Health about the new CT requisition form and process. The Diagnostic Imaging leadership has appreciated the comments, and they have asked to partner with Doctors Manitoba to gather constructive feedback from physicians with the goal of improving their requisition forms and processes. 

Physician input will help to review the CT and other requisition forms, to: 

• Recommend new versions that are clear and simple to complete for referring physicians 
• Ensure essential information is collected to support the correct imaging and interpretation by radiologists. 

Are you interested in participating? We are looking for both referring physicians and radiologists to participate in a Physician Advisory Committee on Requisition Forms. You can express your interest by emailing adminburden@​doctorsmanitoba.​ca. A representative cross section of physicians will be selected to join the Advisory Committee, which will inform the Diagnostic Imaging program as they review the CT and other requisition forms over the next few months. 

We appreciate the openness of Shared Health and the Diagnostic Imaging program to seek out physician feedback and incorporate it into their forms and processes. 

This work follows our report on improving referrals and requisitions, Axe the Fax, earlier this winter, as well as our Joint Task Force on Administrative Burdens recommendation.
