Doctors Manitoba has been at work enhancing our support for the professional, mental, and physical well-being of physicians. We have exciting announcements! 

Staffing

  • Doctors Manitoba welcomes Chelsea McClelland, who joined our Physician Health and Wellness team this month as a therapist in the Physician and Family Support and Physicians at Risk Programs. 

Chelsea comes with many years of experience and will be a tremendous asset in serving members. You can learn more about all of our health and wellness resources at Doc360.

  • Dr. Shelley Anderson is WRHA’s new Associate Chief Medical Officer for Indigenous Health. 

We wish Dr. Anderson well in this new and important role, and are grateful she will be still staying on at Doctors Manitoba as the Medical Director for our clinical health programs. Read WRHA’s full announcement here.

  • Dr. Alexis Botkin is expanding her role at Doctors Manitoba to include the Medical Lead for physician health and wellness. 

Dr. Botkin joined the team in February, supporting advocacy and peer support programming. This new role will also include support for administrative burden, strategic direction for physician and medial learner health and health system advocacy. 

Service Expansion

  • Support for Dependents 12+: The Doctors Manitoba Physician and Family Support Program has expanded its services to now provide counselling and service navigation support to members’ dependent children 12 years of age and older.
