Manitoba’s eConsult and iScheduler systems are moving to upgraded cloud-based platforms on October 22, with a promise from Shared Health of improved reliability, security and future integration capabilities.

What’s happening: Both iScheduler and eConsultCX will launch at 8 a.m. on Thursday, October 22. To support the transition, current systems will be unavailable starting on Monday, October 19.

During the outage:

  • Users will not be able to access eConsult services, including submitting, reviewing, responding to or managing eConsults.
  • iScheduler will be unavailable for scheduling changes.
  • Previously scheduled telehealth events will continue as planned.

Action required before October 18:

  • Consultants: Complete and close any outstanding eConsults.
  • All eConsult users: Save any consult records, attachments or other information you may need in the future.
  • iSchedule Site contacts: Print Whiteboard reports for appointments scheduled between October 19 – 22 before the outage begins.

Important: The current BASE eConsult and Store and Forward systems will be permanently retired. Past consults, attachments and other information will not be migrated to the new platform and will no longer be accessible after the transition.

What to expect: While the new eConsult platform has an updated interface and some workflow changes, the overall eConsult process will remain familiar. Most iScheduler users will notice only minimal changes.

What’s next: Users will receive access instructions, quick-reference guides and training materials ahead of launch. The Virtual Care team will also host virtual drop-in support sessions from October 22 – 30 for primary care providers, delegates and specialists.
