There are several federal and provincial COVID financial support benefits, such as wage subsidies and business loans. They continue to evolve as the pandemic continues. Check out the following resources to help physicians:

• MD Financial has a tool to help physicians identify which provincial and federal benefits they may be eligible for.
• The Canadian Medical Association has commissioned MNP, a national accounting and tax firm, to provide and regularly update a detailed analysis of current federal assistance programs and how they can be leveraged by physicians. Scroll to their ​“Website Dashboard” for information about how the specific federal subsidies relate to various employment structures.
• Doctors Manitoba has developed a guide to support physicians as employers, including several FAQs about supporting employees and income stabilization.
