Annual vs. Monthly Premium Deductions
Residents may choose to pay premiums as an annual lump sum or through monthly deductions. The tables below show both options for Disability Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, and Term Life Insurance.
- Monthly premium deductions for Disability Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance are processed on the 10th of each month or the next business day if the 10th falls on a weekend or bank holiday.
- Monthly premium deductions for Term Life Insurance are processed on the 20th of each month or the next business day if the 20th on a weekend or bank holiday.
- Annual premium deductions for new Residents occur on the first business day of July. Additional lump‑sum deductions may be processed at the end of each month if premiums cannot be collected at the start of the policy year.
First-Year Coverage
Coverage for new residents begins on July 1 and is prorated as follows:
- Disability Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment: coverage runs until May 31 (11 months) and renews on June 1.
- Term Life Insurance: coverage runs until December 31 (6 months) and renews on January 1.
You will receive a summary of your premiums and withdrawal schedule after your application is processed and annually thereafter.
