The war in Ukraine has displaced millions of people, with serious impacts on the health and well-being Ukrainians.
There are several ways you can help:
- Consider supporting the medical response in Ukraine contributing to a credible organization, such as the Canadian Medical Assistance Team, the World Health Organization Foundation, Canadian Red Cross, or check the Ukrainian Canadian Congress for an extensive list of organizations for donation.
- Sign up to provide medical care for Ukrainians arriving Manitoba. Please submit your name using this Doctors Manitoba online form.
Shared Health has created a resource page about health services for Ukrainians arriving in Manitoba. You will find information about interpreter support, as well as fact sheets about basic health service available in English, Ukrainian, Russian and French.
The provincial government has also created a general information page for Manitobans with information about how to help, immigration resources and information for new arrivals.
Early on in the conflict in Ukraine, Doctors Manitoba pledged its support including a unanimous resolution from our Board, support for the local medical response, and a donation to support the humanitarian response in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
