Part Time Permanent Position 

0.5 EFT (20 hours per week)

Klinic Community Heath is a pro-choice community health centre that provides primary care, education and counselling services to our local community and throughout Manitoba. Position Summary

Klinic community health physicians provide direct care to clients being seen for primary care, or to clients of our more specialized clinics, e.g. Gender Affirming Care, Addictions Treatment, STI, Pap. They may work with people of all ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, and ethnicities. Physicians at Klinic provide care at our family practice clinic and at times in other community settings. Physicians at Klinic work independently and as part of a team, recognizing the impact of social determinants of health to the wellbeing of people and providing care within this context.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of a recognized school of medicine
• Three years family practice experience preferred
• Interest and experience in community-based medicine
• Opiate Agonist Therapy (OAT) prescribing capacity required or must be willing to obtain an OAT license at the earliest opportunity
• Currently registered or eligible to be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, CCFP, or able to be registered (not required for the Transgender Health position) 
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (additional language skills would be an asset)
• Pro-choice
• Able to communicate appropriately cross-culturally
