By agreement between Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, all alternate-funded employee and independent contractor GPs who provide anesthesia on-call services can claim compensation for anesthesia on-call periods and services on a fee-for-service basis. On-call hours and time spent providing services during on-call periods do not count towards a physician’s hours of work under their alternate funded contract.
