Target Audience

Psychiatrists, psychologists, family physicians and other practising mental health professionals who treat individuals with psychological injuries affiliated with the workplace and interact with the WCB.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this two-hour presentation, participants should have:

  1. Improved knowledge of the types of psychological injuries affiliated with the workplace.
  2. An understanding of a psychological injury as defined in The Workers Compensation Act.
  3. An appreciation of the nuances of treatment and recovery among workers with psychological injuries affiliated with the workplace.
  4. An improved understanding of the WCB’s role in supporting workers with psychological injuries affiliated with the workplace and potential opportunities for collaboration.
