Doctors Manitoba is pleased to host a CMPA full-day workshop on Managing Disruptive Behaviours, May 8, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This course is designed to help physician leaders recognize workplace behaviours that impact patient safety, understand contributing factors, and take action using communication strategies, procedural fairness and a clear stepwise framework. 

Accredited for up to 7.5 hours. 

Faculty: Dr. Heather Murray, MD, MSc, FRCP

Dr. Heather Murray is a Physician Advisor with the CMPA’s Safe Medical Care Learning group. Prior to joining the CMPA, she served as an attending emergency physician for 26 years and continues to hold the rank of Professor of Emergency Medicine at Queen’s University. Dr. Murray has held multiple leadership roles and is a recipient of the Chancellor A. Charles Baillie Award, the highest teaching honour at Queen’s University. 

Participants are required to complete a 50-minute eLearning activity prior to the workshop.

Who is this course for? This course is especially relevant for current and future formal physician leaders.
