Early Career Physicians | Physician Health and Wellness Roundtable Dicussion
💬 Doctors Manitoba Physician Health and Wellness Committee is hosting a series of small, in-person roundtable discussions to better understand how burnout, moral distress, and other wellness challenges are affecting physicians and residents.
Our annual survey data tells us that burnout in Manitoba remains high, and is affecting every stage of a medical career. In 2025, 48% of physicians reported high levels of burnout, compared to 30% before the pandemic. Specific groups of physicians reported rates higher than average.
These include:
- Residents: 64%
- Early career physicians: 58%
- Women physicians: 52%
📍 Time and Location: 6 – 8 p.m., at Doctors Manitoba, 20 Desjardins Drive. Dinner provided. A virtual option will also be available, but in-person participation is preferred.
📅 Upcoming sessions:
- March 18: Early Career Physicians
- April 13: Women Physicians
- April 28: Resident Physicians
Each session is capped at 25 participants to ensure thoughtful discussion. Burnout is a system issue, not an individual one.
