The provincial vaccine super sites in Winnipeg require physician coverage to assess and counsel patients flagged for a more detailed informed consent process. Doctors Manitoba has been asked to assist with recruitment, as well as scheduling physician coverage. 

Thank you to all the physicians who have applied to help. At this point, no additional help is needed. We will notify physicians if more shifts become available.

Position Description: The primary role of this position will be advice and support to patients in relation to informed consent for the vaccine. Many individuals attending for vaccinations need clinical guidance to help understand and complete the informed consent. This could include individuals with specific health issues, medications or allergies. In addition, you a will be asked to be available to Clinical Leads to address any clinical questions that may arise.

Coverage will be required until at least early September, 2021.

Locations: Vaccine Super Sites at RBC Convention Centre (immediate need) and Leila Soccer Complex (starting May 7)

Hours of operation: The super site operates 7 days per week, from 8:30am to 8:30pm. This includes holidays.

Shift options: We anticipate the following shift opportunities:

  • 12 hour (830am — 830pm)
  • 8.25hour (830am — 445pm)
  • 4 hour (430pm — 830pm)

Training: Training will be required, and participants will be remunerated for the training time. This will be available on-demand” and can be completed from home or your office prior to your first shift.

Remuneration: Hourly rates have been set as follows:
